I will NEVER wax or shave again, I will go to Sugaring NYC! Sugaring is similar to waxing but it’s just a sugar, honey, water, and lemon paste. It’s so much better for the skin and the body than waxing and shaving is. After I go for my sugaring visits my skin typically feels softer and feels brand new. Once when I went to wax my eyebrows I had burns on my face because the wax was so hot. The sugar paste they use at Sugaring NYC, is closer to room temperature and is way less painful.

I have been sugaring since I was 17 years old and it’s been one of my favorite self care activities ever since. Everyone is so nice and supportive and I’m never uncomfortable or nervous when I go into my appointment. When I move (which I have several times since) I always have to find a sugaring place in my town or nearby.

Appointments can be made right from the app and it’s convenient to cancel or reschedule from the app as well. They also offer everything to prepare for your appointment as well. Including exfoliating scrubs and gloves that make my skin feel so soft after I use them.

My skin feels so soft after my appointment because of the natural ingredients and their oil they put on afterwards to calm irritated skin. My face just turns a little pink instead of bright red like when I used to get my eyebrows waxed.

I absolutely love Sugaring NYC and going there as well as preparing for my appointment is some of the best self care time I have each month. I always look forward to going there and I plan to keep it up.

Sugaring is also super useful for me because I have limited vision and can’t always see everything I need to shave. I trust my “sugarista” completely because I know I wouldn’t do a good job at all by myself. It could also be dangerous if I were to attempt waxing by myself or at home so I would much rather take time to keep it up and be safe.

Please ignore my hair I had a full day in the Texas heat and it was not nice to me whatsoever.
